Julie Kay Stallcup
Julie Kay Stallcup is a nationally recognized leader in dance education. She is a beloved teacher at dance conventions and conferences. Her captivating keynote addresses and seminars including her own platform JULIE KAY MASTERMIND LLC, are sold out across the country. Julie Kay’s magnetic personality and creative teaching methods spark new inspiration in teachers. Her commitment to mentor each and every dancer with integrity and compassion makes her a favorite with all!
Julie Kay’s dedication to these principles extended to her ownership of a dance company and its affiliated studio, Revolution Dance Center, which she co-founded in 2006 alongside her husband Darrell and her dedicated business partner. During their ownership of fifteen years, they assembled a faculty and staff that shared exceptional ethics and commitment to dancers and to the art of dance. Graduates of Revolution Dance Center have gone on to achieve stardom on Broadway, in television, film, and the music industry.
In 2020, it was with these same values that together they decided to sell the studio and move back home to Julie Kay’s hometown in Arkansas. Surrounded by her brothers, Julie Kay and Darrell raise their three beautiful children Jett, Gage and Zeta.
Most recently, they embarked on a new venture, JULIE KAY MASTERMIND LLC, encompassing distinct platforms catering to teachers, studio owners, and businesses. TEAM JULIE KAY empowers teachers worldwide with inspiration, knowledge, and education, while JULIE KAY STUDIO OWNER MASTERMIND guides and supports studio owners on their business adventure. As a certified Life Coach, Julie Kay offers invaluable assistance in both business and personal matters. Her latest project, Tap Roots, is scheduled to launch in Spring 2024.
Close to her heart are her many service projects including “ican” of Arkansas, teaching dance for differently- abled dancers and an advocate for Luv Michael, a virtual volunteer program for autism. Every month you will find the Stallcup family volunteering and feeding hundreds of families at the Ronald McDonald House. Anyone who knows Miss Julie Kay would agree, her arms are always open and she is ready to give back 100%
During the week you will find her at Dance Dynamics in Little Rock Arkansas. Weekly she shares her enthusiasm and love of dance to students of all ages and teaches “ican” for differently-abled dancers through the certification of Rhythm Works Integrative Dance.
Professionally, Julie Kay performed as a Las Vegas showgirl at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino in the hit show “American Superstars,” a magician’s assistant in the Kirby Van Burch Magic Show in Branson, Missouri. She was a member of the Dance Team for the American Basketball Association and a dancer in the Latin American Music Awards for Maluma.
Today, she is a renowned adjudicator at competitions and conferences across the country including LADM, Encore Performing Arts and others. Julie Kay is on the boards of United Dance Merchants of America, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Arkansas Dance Network and a member of SAG/AFTRA
Julie Kay is deeply appreciative of all the gifts that God has graced her with. Her ambition is to guide and support teachers and studio owners to create joy within their life, find balance, share the gift of dance and remember to always “Hold the Vision and Trust the Process.”
Dave Carter
Dave came to the L.A. dance scene from San Francisco after having won the grand championships on both Dance Fever and American Bandstand (maybe you saw him speeding around in that red car he won!)
His credits include Friends, Wild Wild West, Lambada, Titanic, and the children’s show Reading Rainbow. He also danced with megastars Diana Ross and Barbara Mandrel. Along with dancing, Dave worked as a print model for GQ Magazine, Nike, Ocean Pacific and Reebok. He was also featured in commercials, on billboards, and on posters as the face (ummmm buns) of Levi’s Jeans. (THAT’S where I know you from!)
LADM Mens
The LADM Men’s Company gives our male Company dancers the opportunity to explore movement and performance requirements of male professional dancers. They learn to work individually, as a team, and to take responsibility onstage for their teammates.
LADM Junior
New this year is the LADM Junior Company! This experience will mirror the Senior Company, yet it will be geared to our younger dancers. Our Juniors will be mentored not only by our faculty, but also by our seasoned Company members. They will share in the opportunity to be behind the scenes and become an integral part of LA DanceMagic! This is the perfect step to transition to the senior LA DanceMagic Company.
LADM Senior
The LA DanceMagic Company provides young people with the opportunity to experience LADM behind the scenes, work alongside the faculty and staff, and build relationships that will last their entire career. Company members are trained in all areas of dance and are taught the business aspects of the entertainment industry. Members will also train with and perform choreography by the LA DanceMagic faculty. Members are required to commit to the program and rules set forth by LADM.
LADM ProTrack
Our Pro Track members are a select group of dancers that have graduated from the LADM Company, and they are now ready to take on more commitment. The Pro Track members are high school and college age dancers who have the intention of having careers in the entertainment industry. They will learn more in-depth about production, presenting themselves as a professional, and have the opportunity to meet working industry professionals.
