JULIE KAY STALLCUP
Dance Educator, Choreographer, Entrepreneur, & Coach
Julie Kay Stallcup has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of 12. Growing up in North Little Rock, Arkansas, she quickly discovered her passion for performing and teaching, which has fueled her lifelong career.
After high school, she began performing professionally in Branson, Missouri with the Kirby VanBurch Magic Show before moving on to Las Vegas, where she danced as a showgirl for American Superstars. Her journey then led her to Los Angeles, where she performed in TV shows and short films, choreographed for the Miss Burbank Pageant, and owned Revolution Dance Center for 15 years, shaping thousands of dancers’ lives.
Julie Kay is a long time dance convention educator, and currently serves on faculty with LA Dance Magic, where for the past 8 years she has specialized in developing innovative programming for dancers ages 4–7. She has also taught for Dance the Magic, Rhee Gold, Dance Teacher Web Live, Dance Masters of America (Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma), CLI Conservatory, Dance Teacher Summit, and the Dance Educators Collective.
Her work has given her the privilege of teaching and choreographing for high-profile artists and actors including: Billy Ray Cyrus, Finneas, Billie Eilish, Tinashe, Viola Davis, Julia Butters, and Liisi Lafontaine.
Alongside her husband Darrell, she co-founded The Julie Kay Mastermind Company, a platform dedicated to educating and empowering dance teachers and studio owners to run more effective classrooms and thriving studios.
Through this company, Julie Kay has created several impactful curriculums:
- Together We Bloom – a preschool & early childhood program for dancers ages 6 and under
- Academy Dance Program – a recreational training program for dancers ages 7 and up
- Dance Assistant Leadership Program (DALP) – a program training assistants to become classroom leaders
- Momentum Dance Project – launching in January 2026, a curriculum for intermediate and advanced dancers
In addition to her national teaching and leadership, Julie Kay continues to share her love for dance locally, teaching two days a week at Dance Dynamics in Arkansas. She is also one of the creators of Tap Roots, a groundbreaking app designed to give teachers and dancers easy access to Tap dance training and resources.
Certified as a Life Coach, Julie Kay blends her passion for dance with mentorship and personal development. She guides dancers and educators not only in technique, but also in confidence, mindset, and leadership.
With her signature energy, experience, and heart, Julie Kay continues to inspire dancers, educators, and communities everywhere she teaches.
Dave Carter
Dave came to the L.A. dance scene from San Francisco after having won the grand championships on both Dance Fever and American Bandstand (maybe you saw him speeding around in that red car he won!)
His credits include Friends, Wild Wild West, Lambada, Titanic, and the children’s show Reading Rainbow. He also danced with megastars Diana Ross and Barbara Mandrel. Along with dancing, Dave worked as a print model for GQ Magazine, Nike, Ocean Pacific and Reebok. He was also featured in commercials, on billboards, and on posters as the face (ummmm buns) of Levi’s Jeans. (THAT’S where I know you from!)

LADM Mens
The LADM Men’s Company gives our male Company dancers the opportunity to explore movement and performance requirements of male professional dancers. They learn to work individually, as a team, and to take responsibility onstage for their teammates.
LADM Junior
New this year is the LADM Junior Company! This experience will mirror the Senior Company, yet it will be geared to our younger dancers. Our Juniors will be mentored not only by our faculty, but also by our seasoned Company members. They will share in the opportunity to be behind the scenes and become an integral part of LA DanceMagic! This is the perfect step to transition to the senior LA DanceMagic Company.
LADM Senior
The LA DanceMagic Company provides young people with the opportunity to experience LADM behind the scenes, work alongside the faculty and staff, and build relationships that will last their entire career. Company members are trained in all areas of dance and are taught the business aspects of the entertainment industry. Members will also train with and perform choreography by the LA DanceMagic faculty. Members are required to commit to the program and rules set forth by LADM.
LADM ProTrack
Our Pro Track members are a select group of dancers that have graduated from the LADM Company, and they are now ready to take on more commitment. The Pro Track members are high school and college age dancers who have the intention of having careers in the entertainment industry.
