SCHOLARSHIPS

- National Finals Scholarship
Selected Junior Prep/Juniors (7-8 / 9-10), Preteen/Teens (11-12/13-15) and Seniors (16 and up) will be awarded, by audition*, in each city to receive a scholarship to our national Finals. Scholarship is valid only for respective year’s finals. Only convention fees are paid. All other expenses are not included in the scholarship award. - Year-Long Convention Scholarship
Selected Junior Prep/Juniors (7-8 / 9-10), Preteen/Teens (11-12/13-15) and Seniors (16 and up) will be awarded, by audition*, in each city to receive a scholarship to an unlimited number of conventions for one year. Scholarship is valid for one year from the date of the audition. Only convention fees are paid. All other expenses are not included in the scholarship award. When using a year long convention scholarship to attend an LA DanceMagic regional event recipients will only be eligible to audition for scholarships in the city in which they received their Year Long Convention Scholarship. Recipients will not be eligible to audition for scholarships in multiple cities when attending on a Year Long Convention Scholarship. - Single Convention Scholarship.
Selected Junior Prep/Juniors (7-8 / 9-10), Preteen/Teens (11-12/13-15) and Seniors (16 and up) will be awarded, by audition*, in each city to receive a scholarship to any convention during the next year. Scholarship is valid for one year from the date of the audition. Only convention fees are paid. All other expenses are not included in the scholarship award. - Final Cut Scholarship
Selected Junior Prep/Juniors (7-8 / 9-10), Preteen/Teens (11-12/13-15) and Seniors (16 and up) will be awarded, by audition*, in each city to receive a scholarship to go towards that season’s Final Cut.

* Students can only win each scholarship in each age division once. EXCEPT for Final Cut.
AWARDS
- Magic Performer of the Weekend
Selected Magic Minis (6 & Under), Junior Preps (7-8), Juniors (9-10), Preteens (11-12), Teens (13-15) and Seniors (16 and up) will be chosen in each city to hold the title “Magic Performer of the Weekend”. All Magic Performer of the Weekend recipients will receive a certificate along with the chance to compete at that year’s LADM National Finals for the title of “Magic Performer of the Year”. To be considered for Magic Performer of the Weekend all Junior Prep, Junior, Teen and Senior dancers must be entered in that weekend’s competition. This includes dancers registered for an EXHIBITION routines. Magic Minis do not have to be entered into the competition. Magic Performers of the weekend will receive a single convention scholarship, a “Magic” jacket, and a chance to compete for the title of “Magic Performer of the Year”! - Magic Performer of the Weekend Runner Up
Selected Junior Preps (7-8), Juniors (9-10), Preteens (11-12), Teens (13-15) and Seniors (16 and up) will be chosen in each city as “Magic Performer of the Weekend” runner up. All runners up will receive a certificate along with the chance to compete at that year’s LADM National Finals for the title of Magic Performer of the Year. To be considered for Magic Performer of the Weekend Runner Up all Junior Prep, Junior, Teen and Senior dancers must be entered in that weekend’s competition. This includes dancers registered for an EXHIBITION routines. LADM feels that this will allow dancers that were close to winning the title of “Magic Performer of the Weekend” the opportunity to spend the few months leading up to Nationals working hard for the chance to win the title “Magic Performer of the Year”! - Magic Performer of the Year
Dancers who receive Magic Performer of the Weekend Runner Up and Magic Performer of the Weekend in the same age division may compete once as a Runner up and once as Magic Performer of the Weekend for Magic Performer of the Year, a total of two times per age division. Dancers may only win the title “Magic Performer of the Year” once in each age division. Magic Performers of the Year will receive a year-long convention scholarship, invitation to the LADM Company (Junior Preps, Juniors, Teens & Seniors only), a chance to perform their solo in the LADM faculty show, a “Magic” jacket, and surprise goodies! - Current Magic Performers of the Year
Magic Performers are unable to audition for scholarships during their reign. Also they are unable to compete a solo in regular competition however, they are eligible to perform a solo for exhibition only. Winning dancers can compete in all other competition divisions (duo/trio/small group etc.)- Other Important Information:
- Dancers must be a registered student at the event in order to participate in scholarship auditions.
- Dancers must be registered and participating in competition to win Magic Performer of the Weekend or Magic Performer Runner Up. Exhibition solos do count as participation in our competition. However, dancers not participating in competition are still eligible for Single, Year-Long, National Finals, Final Cut and additional scholarships.
- Dancers must audition for scholarships by their age as of January 1, 2025 regardless of their registered class ballroom. This includes our Houston 2024 & Denver 2024 events.
- The Junior Prep and Junior audition will be hosted together (7-10). Dancers will be broken down into Junior Prep & Junior groups during the audition.
- The Preteen and Teen audition will be hosted together (11-15). Dancers will be broken down into Preteen & Teen groups during the audition.
- Selected dancers must be present for Scholarship Callbacks in order to be considered. Callback dancers are required to wear a number for the remainder of classes and to the callback audition.
- Dancers selected to attend the Scholarship Callback will be required to complete a short audition form. They must list all scholarships received in their current age division.
- All scholarship awards will be announced at the Faculty Show, please see your cities schedule for times.
- Dancers may only win each scholarship once per age division.
